So it’s beginning to look like summer is finally here and that can mean only one thing – Festival season is almost upon us! Having trouble deciding where to go and who to see? Here’s a guide to the very best in festival fun this summer.

The Isle of Wight Festival runs from the 21st of June to the 24th – Revived in 2002, this festival is steeped in music history including being the first festival Bob Dylan played after his motorcycle accident in the 1960’s.  This year’s line-up features a wide range of bands including Elbow, Biffy Clyro and Bruce Springsteen.  Camping tickets sold out quickly, but day tickets are still available so be sure to snap one up before they all go!

T in The Park is Scotland’s festival! This year it runs from Friday 6th July to Sunday 8th.  Being held again in Balado, Kinross-shire the line-up and attractions this year are sure to be crowd pleasers.  Snow Patrol headline on the Friday night and Kasabian are headlining on Sunday but the highlight this year surely has to be the return of The Stone Roses to Scottish soil on the Saturday night.

Love less rock and more dance?  No problem, the festival for you is Creamfields, running over the bank holiday weekend in August in Daresbury, Cheshire. Running since 1998, Creamfields continues to offer the very best in electronic and dance music.  This year’s headliners include David Guetta, Example, The Chemical Brothers and also a couple of legends, Paul Van Dyk and Ferry Corsten.

If you fancy going a bit farther afield, why not get yourself and your mates to Benicassmin?  Fiber Fib is a massive 4 day outdoor music festival held every year in Costa Azahar, Spain.  The incredible line up this year features some of the biggest names in music including Florence and the Machine, De La Soul, Bob Dylan and Dizee Rascal.  This festival is widely regarded as being one of the best in Europe, with great organisation and outstanding facilities.  Tickets for this festival are still available.

Remember to take all the essentials to any summer festival – tent, wellies, sun cream and remember to drink plenty of water! Keep your phone safe and remember to stay in touch with your friends.  If you have an iPhone, you can stay in touch using iPhone video chat.  But above all, have fun!
